Riding a horse is a complex interaction between the horse and the rider. Among other things, correct rein control is enormously important, as Stephan Leinweber, an alumnus of the University of Bremen, experienced for himself during his first attempts at riding. The computer scientist wanted to use his technical expertise to solve one of the everyday problems of riders. The result is the assistance system SupporTI in the form of a special “Riding Edition”, a digitally enhanced riding glove that provides the rider with feedback on their performance. What started as a dissertation is now having its market potential tested at CAMPUSiDEEN.
