From spring 2021 you will find the new competition documents here!
Students, staff and alumni of the University of Bremen, Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and Jacobs University Bremen as well as from the institutes and research facilities of these institutions are eligible to participate.
You can submit your idea, no matter at what stage of development it is!
A formal foundation of a business related to the submitted entry must not have been completed by the end of 2020 in the Business Ideas category. In the Business Concepts category, entries will also be considered that relate to businesses already founded in 2020 or later.
And what’s more: you can apply even if you have applied for a patent! Simply mention this in your application and we will together look at what can and cannot be published as part of the start-up competition.
By participating in CAMPUSiDEEN 2021, participants agree to the following conditions. The decision of the jury is final.
The CAMPUSiDEEN competition is organised by BRIDGE and the institutions organised in the network (University of Bremen, Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, Jacobs University Bremen and Bremer Aufbau-Bank).
Students, alumni and staff of the University of Bremen, Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and Jacobs University Bremen as well as the associated institutes and research facilities are eligible to participate.
If more than one person is involved in a competition entry, at least one person must meet this requirement. Furthermore, the additional competition conditions in the entry forms apply to the respective categories. Repeated participation is possible. The repeated submission of a competition entry from previous years for the same category is not permitted. Participation in the events relating to the competition is compulsory. Participants agree to present their entries to the jury and at the award ceremony if nominated. The prize money is subject to income tax for employees of the State of Bremen.
- Competition procedure
The competition documents will be made available at www.bridge-online.de. The closing date for entries is 07.07.2021, 23:59. Entries received after this time will not be considered. Only complete entries will take part in the competition. Participants will receive a confirmation of receipt by email. An independent jury with representatives from business and science will select the winners. If there is a high level of participation in the competition, the organiser will make a preliminary selection. The members of the jury will receive the submitted entry documents with the explicit instruction that they are to be treated confidentially.
- Data protection
All information collected in the context of the competition will be treated confidentially. It is necessary for the running of the competition that the institutions that are organised in BRIDGE store and process all submitted data. The data will also be stored after the competition and used by BRIDGE – for example for invitations to further events. An overview of the stored data can be requested by post at any time and the further use of the data can be objected to. If this objection is made during the competition, it is considered to be a withdrawal of the application. The competition entries will also be made available to the jury members and necessary service providers for the handling of the competition. The data provided will be treated confidentially by the jury members and service providers and will be deleted after the competition has ended. The competition entries that reach the final will be presented via BRIDGE’s marketing channels and at the award ceremony. When publishing abstracts of the entries as part of the competition, the submitted data may be used by BRIDGE and also transmitted to third parties for this purpose. It is agreed that by submitting the competition documents, the participants transfer all usage rights to recordings during the competition to the organisers free of charge and without a time limit. Furthermore, the data protection regulations of the University of Bremen apply.
